For Full-Service Home Upgrades and Emergency Water Heater Replacement by Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE)
Completed your Full-Service Home Upgrades or Emergency Water Heater Replacement project? Here’s how to make the most of your new high-efficiency equipment.
Maintain and optimize your equipment
Are you replacing filters for your heat pump every 6 months? Is your heat pump water heater set to the correct mode?
Review our best practices booklet on maintaining your equipment and maximizing bill savings.
Check your electric rate plan
You may see changes to your utility bills as you switch from gas to electric appliances. Here are ways to make for a smooth transition:
- Enroll in an “electrification-friendly” rate plan such as E-ELEC or EV-2A. These rates provide deeper discounts during off-peak hours so that you can run your electric appliances and charge your EV at a lower price. Learn more.
- Check the PG&E Rate Comparison Tool 6 months post-installation to ensure you’re on the best plan for your energy needs.
- Get free virtual energy audits via HomeIntel. Participants receive monthly energy reports and coaching on reducing energy waste.

Get warranty support
All Full-Service Home Upgrades and Emergency Water Heater installations include:
- 1-year standard parts and labor warranty that starts on the day of your completed installation. If something goes wrong because of how the unit was installed (connections, mounting, wiring, venting, etc.), we’ll fix it at no cost to you. Any part that fails due to a defect or installation issue will also be replaced free of charge.
- Manufacturer’s equipment warranties to cover any equipment defects. Many units come with a longer manufacturer’s warranty. Most heat pump water heaters come with a 10-year equipment warranty. We’ll let you know what applies to your equipment and will work with the manufacturer if your equipment fails.
- No-charge callback service for warranty-covered issues. If you’re without hot water or heat, we’ll prioritize getting to you fast.
If you participated in the 0% financing program, your warranty terms are different. View here.
