Financial Relief for Qualifying Small Businesses

During these uncertain economic times, we understand that our small business community has been one of our most greatly impacted populations. In response, the Silicon Valley Clean Energy Board of Directors has elected to provide a one-time $250 bill credit for qualifying small businesses.

If your business received a personalized letter via standard mail or personalized email, you are eligible to claim a $250 bill credit. Simply fill out the required information in the form below, noting your Account Number and Unique ID included in the top right-hand corner of the letter addressed to your business or in the body of the email sent. When completed, click ‘Submit’ and SVCE will verify your eligibility and apply for the bill credit at the end of your next billing period.

If you need assistance in completing this form please contact: info@svcleanenergy.org

How was eligibility determined?

Eligibility for this credit was determined using the following criteria:

  • Account holder name had A1/B1 class commercial electrical accounts.
  • Account holder name had 2 or fewer total A1/B1 class commercial electrical accounts.
  • Account holder name did not also have commercial electrical accounts for higher-demand applications (A6, A10, E19, E20; B6, B10, B19, B20).

If I have two eligible A1/B1 accounts, can I claim two credits?

No, the program was designed to allow for one credit per account holder name. In situations where there are two account numbers under a single account holder name, only one Unique ID will be applied. Credits are issued based on the submission of the corresponding account number and Unique ID.

How do I know if the bill credit was applied?

After submission of your information via the form on this page, SVCE will verify your eligibility and the credit will be applied at the end of your next billing cycle. The credit will appear as a line item on the Silicon Valley Clean Energy page of the energy bill. The credit will appear as a negative line item and will be labeled “Small Business Relief Credit.” See the sample bill image below.
